Policies and Strategies 

We operate a safety and health system to create a safe workplace, healthy workers, a healthy working environment, and a safe working environment for stakeholders. Through the establishment of a safety and health system, we are making every effort to implement disaster-free workplaces and faithfully implement safety and health-related laws such as the Serious Accident Punishment Act.

A safety and health management policy that reflects the will of the manager has been established and reflected in the company's management plan every year, encouraging all executives and employees to recognize safety and health as a top priority throughout corporate management activities. 

Safety and health policy 

As a specialized company that produces and supplies preventive drugs and medical equipment, the company shall establish and actively implement safety and health policies as follows in order to fulfill the social responsibilities of the company and to create a safe and healthy workplace in accordance with the management principles that prioritize safety and health. 

1. Recognize that safety is the best value and reflect it first in all policies and decision-making. 

2. Continuous improvement activities are carried out to eliminate risk factors and reduce safety and health risks. 

3. Practice compliance management that complies with safety and health-related laws and other requirements. 

4. In order to suspend the safety culture of labor and management, the participation and consultation of workers are actively encouraged. 

5. Establish and actively implement safety and health goals to achieve safety and health policies. 

Safety and Health Management System 

In order to substantially implement the requirements of the Serious Accident Punishment Act and operate a prevention system based on risk assessment, a safety and health management system has been established. A dedicated organization has been formed around the CEO to operate the safety and health management system. Based on the systematic operation of the system, the safety and health management system has been strengthened to generalize the operation of the safety and health process at the workplace, and various activities have been carried out to establish a sense of safety and health among employees to spread and settle the safety and health culture. In addition, it is listed and operated within the internal computer system so that all employees can access various regulations and manuals related to safety and health at any time.

Health and safety organization 

A company-wide organization dedicated to safety and health is formed, and through this, the workplace safety and health management is systematically carried out. Focusing on the safety and health team, we appoint safety and health management managers, safety managers, health management agents, and management supervisors to manage safety and health according to the characteristics of the workplace.

Safety and Health Risk Assessment 

To create a healthy working environment for healthy workers, we conduct a risk assessment that identifies harmful risk factors for all tasks. Through this, harmful factors that may occur at work or in the environment are identified, and improvement measures are taken to manage the members to work in a safe environment. Starting with the preliminary preparation stage of identifying the subject and scope of the assessment, the risk assessment derives harmful and risk factors for each unit of work and determines the risk and size by considering the possibility and seriousness that may lead to an accident. Afterwards, improvements are made, measures are checked, and environments that have changed frequently are checked.

Risk discovery and management status

As a result of the risk assessment, cases that are derived as risk ratings are immediately dealt with, and cases that are determined as low or medium risk after reviewing the risk assessment trial every year are determined to be low During continuous management monitoring (wearing protective gear, operating fume hood during experiment, prohibiting release of facility interlock unit, etc.)

Emergency communication system 

Safety and Health Education and Training 

Through systematic safety and health education and training, employees are educated and trained on how to improve awareness of safety and health and how to respond to emergencies. 

Industrial Safety Committee and Labor-Management Council 

It operates the Occupational Safety and Health Committee and the Labor-Management Council, which are evenly composed of labor and management under the Occupational Safety and Health Act. The agenda presented will be held once a quarter, and the decision will be made immediately after a sufficient meeting with the representative of the worker. 

Safety and health circuit inspection 

With the implementation of the Serious Accident Punishment Act in 2022, a dedicated safety and health organization under the direct control of the CEO has been established and operated. As one of the activities of the dedicated organization, we are conducting a safety and health circuit inspection to check the safety and health status of all workplaces and improve vulnerable areas.

As a result of consistent efforts to build a safety and health management system, putting the safety and health of employees as the top priority, we have obtained ISO45001 certification, an international standard.
ISO45001 certification means meeting the international standards of the safety and health management system, and it is officially recognized that our company has a systematic management system to create a safe working environment.
In the future, we will do our best to continuously improve the safety and health management system and create an environment in which all executives and employees can work with confidence. In addition, we will contribute to the realization of a safe and healthy society to create a better future.

For 22, 23, and 2 years in a row, we have been recognized for our efforts to build a safe working environment with safety as our top priority..
Unfortunately, in 24 years, an industrial accident occurred. Taking this accident as an opportunity, we will do our best to thoroughly examine the safety management system and improve the shortcomings to create a safe working environment in which no single accident occurs.
In the future, we will continue to prioritize the safety and health of our employees, and we will create a safer company through continuous safety education and prevention activities.

Water Resources Management 

As a company that produces medicines for human health, we have a responsibility for environmental protection. In particular, we operate our own wastewater treatment plant to safely treat wastewater generated during the pharmaceutical production process and minimize its impact on the environment.
Pharmaceutical wastewater contains special components and requires more difficult treatment than ordinary household wastewater. Through its own wastewater treatment plant, it performs high-level treatment far beyond legal standards to prevent environmental pollution.
We take responsibility for the community and the environment and strive to minimize secondary pollution generated during the wastewater treatment process. Protect employees' health from harmful substances generated during the wastewater treatment process and create a safe working environment.

Water and water pollutants 

We recognize water as a valuable resource in the production process and do our best to protect the environment.
We are striving to continuously reduce the emissions of major pollutants. Through such efforts, we are complying with legal standards and will continue to make reduction efforts to create a cleaner environment. 

Air pollutants 

We are also actively working on air pollutant management. We comply with laws such as the Air Environment Conservation Act and select and operate an appropriate treatment method to reduce the generation of air pollutants. 

Waste management 

We responsibly manage the wastes generated during the production process. We produce designated wastes and general wastes, and we do our best to treat them safely and environmentally friendly. We treat wastes through various methods and thoroughly comply with relevant laws and regulations to minimize their impact on the environment. We will continue to make continuous improvements to build a more eco-friendly waste management system.
